For critical thinking to be most productive - and effective - facts and unsolicited data ought to be the primary information input. However, when the input is corrupt how is one to know? Conspiracy theories abound based on this quagmire. If disinformation is presented valid by once traditional trustworthy sources such as the main stream media (both print and broadcast), government agencies and representatives, and family members and friends then where to go to know anything truthful?...Google?...
